I've added this page, to basically share my life a little more with you guys! if your in the market to perhaps buy something, then take a look at my critically acclaimed reviews below.
It should be noted though, that if you are thinking of buying something you should you under no circumstances talk to Pete!! He has an uncanny knack of suggestion.... as you will see!

The Pitch
So at the end of last year, I came into a little bit of money. Some, through selling that bloomin' flat in Glasgow (Finally!) and some, from inheritance from my lovely Aunt. For this I wanted to buy something to remember her by... In steps Pete!!
He promptly rolls up his sleeve and shows me his watch, the exact same pictured above. At first I was a bit dubious. I had a thought of how much these things cost, and hadn't really considered something like this. However, Pete soon got to work on that, by quickly bombarding me with facts and figures (See The History).
He'd originally suggested the Submariner model. In all intension purposes, this is an identical watch, in looks apart from the classic Rolex Cyclops over the date. To be honest I wasn't a big fan of this, it just made me think of bling and 'Del Boy'!
I did however like the Sea-Dweller. For a little more money, in my opinion it was a lot nicer watch both in looks and technical specification.
After traipsing round Nottingham looking in various shops (and the occasional pub) we came across a second hand jeweller who happened to have both these watches in. Bearing in mind it’s near on impossible to see either of the watches alone in a high street dealers shop; this was an opportunity not to be missed.
To cut the story short, the 2nd hand Sea-Dweller, was 14years old, had no box or certificates, yet had only lost £500 in value.
After another pint I had a lot to consider!
Once back in Edinburgh, I set to looking round the dealers, to see what waiting times were like. This ranged from 10months, to who knows!! Not good! Luckily in the 3rd Shop, I was told they may have one in one of their other stores. I was in luck, after clearing it with the MD of the company, the transfer was made and the watch was shipped up from Bournemouth in a matter of days...the rest is history (Or is that time?)
The Watch
The first thing that gets you with this watch, is its weight. Its a heavy brute. But its design allows it go down to a depth of 1.2Km. This is 4times as deep as the Sub-Mariner. Having said that, I soon got used to the weight, and before long forgot I was wearing it.
This is an extremely simple, yet crisp looking watch. The bezel only turns anti-clockwise, with a tight clicking motion.
Reading through the literature accompanying the watch, I felt even more justified in my purchase. The amount of effort and craftsman shift that goes into every individual watch is beyond belief.
Ok, so I may have become a watch snob! But that’s just it, I now appreciate these things more than ever. How many other watches can boast that they have been strapped to the outside of a submarine, taken down to the bottom of the Marianas Trench, brought back up and still work?
And finally for all those sad arguments, the Sub-Mariner was the official Bond Watch!! Only Brosnan has warn the Omega Sea-Master (http://www.mi6.co.uk/sections/articles/qbranch_watches.php3?t=&s==).
And yeah...I dive down to 1.2Km every week!!
